New year with new opportunities to start afresh with God Almighty in every walk of life and endeavour.
Good preparation is not negotiable for effective performance as bad preparation leads to poor performance. Two condemned criminals were led to Mt. Calvary as well as Jesus Christ to be crucified. The presence of Jesus Christ made the difference. How? Jesus turned evil to live for one of the criminals as well as for you and I. Rom.3:23, Lk.23:32.
Ignorance of the Satan, soldiers and sinners deluded the trio not to have known that the Calvary cross is the God ordained way to Salvation of mankind and paradise. Otherwise, the sinners would not have crucified Jesus Christ the King of kings and Lord of lords. Lk.23:36.
Opinions of mankind notwithstanding, will not alter the power of God Almighty for a fresh start. However, the insight and revelation of Who Jesus Christ is matters a lot, as we can see in the other condemned criminal. He said: …”But this Man has done nothing wrong.” Lk.23:39-40. Yet Jesus Christ paid in full for the criminal sin as well as for the sins of you and I, in order to give us a fresh start at Calvary.
Asking in faith guarantee a fresh start at Calvary as exemplified by one of the condemned criminals before Jesus Christ. He said to the criminal: …”I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise.” Jas.2:26, Isa.43:18-19.
Humility of heart and grace of God paved way for the repentant criminal to make heaven. No nature or degree of sin that grace of God does not cover, provided there is genuine repentance. The said criminal was saved by grace of God Almighty. Lk.23:42, Eph.2:8-9.
In conclusion, this new year will usher you a fresh start spiritually, physically, financially, socially, marriage wise, academically, career wise among others in Jesus Name. Amen. Charles R. Jacobs.
